The Key to your Home Care Need

Home Health Aides

Home Health Aide

A Home Health Aide (HHA) is a trained professional who provides personal care services to individuals who require assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, and light housekeeping. HHAs typically work with elderly individuals, individuals with disabilities, or individuals recovering from an illness or injury.

Our HHA at EHCS provides a range of services to the elderly, depending on their needs. In addition to the personal care services provided by our HHAs, our homecare services may also provide skilled nursing care, medication management, transportation to medical appointments, and companionship

To provide services to elderly individuals, a homecare service typically begins with an assessment of the individual’s needs, conducted by a Registered Nurse or other healthcare professional. Based on the assessment, a personalized Care Plan is developed, which outlines the specific services that will be provided and the frequency of visits.

The homecare service will then match the individual with a trained caregiver, such as an HHA, who will provide the necessary care and support. The caregiver may visit the individual’s home on a regular basis, providing assistance with activities of daily living and other tasks as needed.
In general, homecare services can help elderly individuals maintain their independence and improve their quality of life by providing personalized care and support in the comfort of their own home.

Out of the services our HHAs offer includes:

This includes helping the elderly person with bathing, dressing, and grooming.

An HHA can assist an elderly person with getting in and out of bed, moving around the house, and other mobility-related tasks.

The HHA can help the elderly person remember to take their medications at the right time and in the correct dosage.

An HHA can help plan and prepare nutritious meals for the elderly person, taking into account any dietary restrictions or preferences.

The HHA can help with tasks such as laundry, cleaning, and organizing to ensure that the elderly person’s living space is safe and comfortable.

The HHA can spend time with the elderly person, engaging in conversation or activities to help reduce feelings of loneliness and isolation.

An HHA can keep track of the elderly person’s overall health status and report any changes or concerns to a healthcare provider, ensuring that any issues are addressed promptly.
